Thoughts on Blogging

When I started this blog, it was to let my family and friends know what was happening in our lives and travels without having to repeat myself.  After a while, I thought I could use it to improve my writing and it has, to a point, but I've realized that I don't particularly enjoy writing. Don't get me wrong, I love the opportunity to share the experiences we've had on this adventure but I definitely have no interest in writing my autobiography or anything in the near future.

Something that I find fascinating about blogging is following the statistics. Browsers and Operating Systems don't mean much to me but keeping track of my audience by country is something else. I have to mention here, that I don't advertise my blog anywhere. I send e-mails out to my contacts once in a while and I'll update my status on Facebook but that's it, really.  I do have friends and family all over the world but I have no idea which one of them follow the blog or not so when I checked the stats for this week, I was a little surprised.  I have followers in Canada, France, Russia, United Kingdom, Malaysia, United States, Germany, Netherlands, India and Argentina. If I look at the stats since the beginning, I can add Finland, Australia and Ukraine to that list.

I find this quite exciting and would love to know who you all are and where you're from.  So, whether you leave me a comment at the bottom of this post, send me an e-mail at maujualex@hotmail.com or send me a message on Facebook (Julie Deschamps-Liimatainen if you're not yet a friend), I would really love to hear from you.  If you keep coming back, let me know why and if there's something you would like to hear about.

Can't wait to hear from you!

Julie
